The Beast of Provence!

Officially known as the magnificent Mount Ventoux - John's painting here is simply named Ventoux.

Situated in Provence in the South of France other nicknames include Bald Mountain or the Windy Mountain due to the fact the mistral winds on the summit can reach up to200 miles per hour. You may recognise it from the Tour De France.
