Last Rays At Foreland Point

"Night falling in the beautiful North Devon village of Lynmouth, where Exmoor touches the sea.

As the sun sets to the left on this northern coast, the lights of South Wales are coming on."

- John Donaldson

Lynmouth is a place close to our hearts, as a child John and Sandi would take me on camping holidays in this stunning part of the county. My parents and I have so many fond memories of these trips. We recently returned with my husband and have an endless amount of photographs some of which you can see below.

As you can see there are so many stunning natural elements and components to this village and it's sister village on the top of the gorge 700 feet up - Lynton. The walks are breath-taking including the almighty Valley Of The Rocks pictured below left. As you can see, if the steep walks aren't for you, fear not, the two villages are connected by a Cliff Railway which works two cable-connected cars by gravity, using water tanks. That is quite an experience which I highly recommend.
